Abstract
Causes of the Push Rod Bent in the Diesel Generator Engine Causes of the Push Rod Bent in the Diesel Generator Engine on the KM. Ship BINAIYA with the first mentor Pujadi, M.Mar.E and Purwanto, ST, M.Eng as the second mentor. The purpose of this paper is to find out about the cause of the bending of the push rod on a diesel generator engine. The data collection method used is by direct observation of the written object. Data and information are collected through Observation, making direct observation of the objects to be discussed in this thesis, namely when carrying out land practice at PT. Dok dan Perkapalan Surabaya. The results showed that the cause of the push rod bent on the diesel generator engine was due to the worn out camshaft then repaired the welding but when doing welding only relied on estimates. As a result, the camshaft is too thick than the standard limit. Resulting in abnormal diesel engine rotation and cause damage to the components of the diesel engine generator.
