Abstract
In preventing fires as one of the causes of ship wrecks, ships must be equipped with fire fighting systems and equipment that are able to deal effectively with fire problems. Emergency fire pump is used to overcome the above conditions which are installed separately from the engine room and the installation is connected to the main installation. But on the ship MV. Dahlia Merah, the performance of the pump does not run effectively when doing driil, due to disturbances that occur in the pump components so that it can affect the performance of the pump, it can be concluded that the disturbances that occur in the pump causing the pump to not run effectively, that is, damage to the pump components , lack of maintenance of the fire pump, which can interfere with the operation of the machinery. To overcome these factors can be done with regular maintenance and checking, the correct operation according to existing procedures. Keyword : Operation, Damage, Maintenance.
