Abstract
Discussion during the writing of this paper is to explain abaut the systemand maintenance of an emergency fire extinguisher pump which focuses on centrifugal pumps with diesel engine.This report includes two outlines. Systems and maintenance of centrifugal pumps. The way the centrifugal pump operates is that the pump makes a low pressure on the suction, so that the fluid will be sucked in and out on the press side or the outside side with higher pressure, all of which is done by using the drive pump element ie impeller, pluger or piston. While the way to treat centrifugal pumps is maintenance routines (routine maintenance), predictive maintenance (preventative maintenance) and preventiemantenance (preventive maintenance). Key words: emergency fire pump, Ship Safety, pump maintenance.
