Abstract
LCT. VICTORIA JAYA is a type of sea transportation (Landing Craft Tank) that has a shipping route Batam - Singapore. This ship is used to transport loads in the form of heavy equipment and construction materials in relatively large quantities. To facilitate access in and out of large-scale construction to be transported, this ship is equipped with four steel wire rope ramp doors.. The purpose of writing this paper is to find out the care and repairs that exist on the ramp door. Damage and treatment of the ramp door must be known the cause and how to treat it. The method used by the author in compiling this paper uses primary data and secondary data. Primary data obtained by the author through direct observation on ramp door in LCT. Victoria Jaya and through interviews with the ship's engineer. Secondary data is obtained through particular ships, manual books, maintenance management books and company data. Based on data obtained by the author. the damage that occurs in the ramp door is an electric motor burning due to overloading, the other damage is a pump and a leaky hydraulic pipe. Ramp door maintenance and repairs carried out include: current checking, insulation resistance checking, temperature checking, bearing replacement, painting on the ramp door, lubrication using grease in wire rope.
