Abstract
The main topic of discussion in writing this paper is about the procedures for clearance services in/out of ships carried out by shipping companies at the Class IV Port Authority and Port Authority Office in Pangkal Balam. There are several settings that the author must complete, namely the procedures for ship clearance services and the obstacles faced in ship clearance activities. The Class IV Pangkal Balam Ksyahbandaran and Port Authority Office serves various tasks and functions in managing documents, serving the arrival and departure of ships. The purpose of writing a paper is none other than knowing the procedures for in/out clearance services, required documents, relevant agencies and knowing the obstacles in clearance in/out activities. Based on data collection that was carried out during land practice (Prada), the authors used several methods, namely observation, interviews, and document studies and literature studies. The result of the discussion of this paper is that the clearance in/out service at the Class IV Pangkal Balam Port Authority Office will run smoothly if it meets the document requirements and fulfills the established procedures.
