Abstract
Abstract Welding Defects On The Side Palte Of Ship And How To Handling It Batavia III-216 PT.Indonesian Armada Service Welding is the most efficient connection between two metals by using heat energy as a medium, thus playing a key role in the manufacturing and production processes. things that become welding requirements are: selection of parent metal, weld metal, type of weld, type of connection, sequence of welding, and specifications of all materials and tools used. the author formulates problems regarding the procedures, safety, and repair of welding machines. This paper aims to find out how to handle welding well. In this paper use several research methods, namely: interview method, observation, documentation. These data were obtained when doing land practices at PT. Indonesian Fleet Services and at KT. Batavia III-216. Problems that are often discussed when damage to welding include welding defects, high electric current, weld metal melts to eat workpieces. After the author makes observations at KT. Batavia III-216, the author can conclude that there is a lack of awareness about safety when conducting welding and decreasing welding quality. Keywords: Welding, Procedures, Safety
