Abstract
IMPLEMENTATION OF TRAINING FOR USE OF SAFETY EQUIPMENT BY SHIPS AND PASSENGERS IN KMP. SIGINJAI Ship is important means of transportation, have various facilities and have tools. The ship is the safest tool or place to take refuge during the voyage at sea, therefore seafarers must always maintain to stay aboard the ship in an emergency that is however severe. What is meant by an emergency is a situation where there is damage or disruption of the ship, human and natural errors, so that all people must leave the ship using cutting tools contained in the ship. The technique of saving oneself and others in an emergency is a practical knowledge that must be known and must be mastered by all crew of the ship. All of these actions are intended so that the crew of the ship in danger can help themselves and others or save the ship and its contents quickly and accurately, explain the fire emergency training and the use of lifeboats. Lifeboats are rescue boats designed to save human lives in the event of a problem at sea. The purpose of this paper is to find out the application of training in the use of safety equipment by crew members and passengers. The method of data retrieval uses field research and library methods that use observation techniques and interview techniques. The results of this paper that the training of the use of safety equipment by the crew of the ship has been carried out by crew members and passengers each departure based on the 2010 amendment SOLAS 1974 regulation.
