Abstract
The main bearing system on the main engine Yanmar type 6n330-ew is one aspect of the system that has an important role when the main engine is operating and when not operating to sustain (cope) engine power, so that the shaft and crankshaft movements can run safely, smoothly and long life. The purpose of this paper is to determine the cause of wear and tear on the main bearing of the main engine. This writing was carried out on the KM boat. PANORAMA NUSATARA, a company owned by PT. PRIMA VISSTA for more or less during practice. The research method used in this research is descriptive method. Data collection procedures through observation, interviews, and literature techniques. Data sources obtained directly from the place of writing with direct observation through measurements, manual books and literature relating to the title of this paper.the workobtained from this paper shows that, the ratio of the shaft power to the workload of a bearing that is not appropriate so that it causes wear on the bearings. Key words : Wear, Bearing,crankshaf.
