Abstract
Generator is a machine that can convert motion energy (mechanical) into electrical energy (electric). The energy that drives its own generator source comes from a diesel generator that drives the generator. With this power source it will be able to attract and drain all the electricity continuously in a circuit as it should be. To maintain from the performance of the generator, it is necessary operation, maintenance and repair should know the procedures. A generator requires main tenance or testing to keep it operating normally and avoid various kinds of interference such as vibration of the rotor, short circuit on stator and rotor windings, etc. Several steps are taken to minimize the disturbance. One of them is by testing rotor and stator which consist of many test such as High Potential Test, Megger Test, and Balancing Voltage Rotor Test. In this ground work practice, the author learns about the operation, maintenance and repair of the generator which includes the observations and execution carried out on the maintenance of the generator. With this report the author can understand the operating procedures properly so that the generator can work properly and ready to run anytime. Keywords: Operation And Maintenance Generator
