Abstract
SISTEM PERAWATAN DAN PERBAIKAN POMPA BALLAST DI MT.IBM-1 PT.MULIA BORNEO MANDIRI PONTIANAK Ballast pump is a equipment function to position on the ship make a balance fore trim and after trim,so that the position of the ship can return in a perfect position. Based on the working principle the ballast pump, rotation the impeller produces is the make a kinetic power then conferted to a compressive force. The ballast pump has an impeller to lift the liquid from low place to higher place. Rotation impeller connect to the pump shaft rotate the impeller on the liquid, the liquid is driven by the impeller blades. Ballast pumps include non priming pumps because can not suck themselves, other pump has a function doesn’t same.
