Abstract
ABSTRACT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF WATER OIL SEPARATOR (OWS) TO PREVENT MARINE POLLUTION SEAS. ON BOARD MT. TOWO ARYO Oil Water Separator (OWS) the separation of oil and water, it is a tool equipment on board a vessel where the tool aims to reduce pollution and marine pollution, the system works to separate the two elements that are not mutually insoluble separated from each other because of differences in densities (density), in this case the fluid in question is oil and water, where the density of water is greater than the density of the oil so that when the separation process occurs the water will be at the bottom and the oil will be at the top. Maintenance and repair of aircraft Oil Water Separator (OWS), which include: maintenance of Oil Sensor Level that serves as a means of detecting oil content, maintenance of the filter (coalescer) within the tank Oil Water Separator (OWS), maintenance on valves of three roads ( Three way valve) in which these components plays an important vital or so on an air Oil Water Separator (OWS) Results after performing the maintenance and repair of aircraft Oil Water Separator (OWS) on a regular basis, is expected to reduce the risk of damage to the components and extend the service life of the Oil Water Separator (OWS), which is useful tackling sea pollution caused by waste oil disposal in accordance regulations MARPOL 73/78 Annex I.
