Abstract
In general the ballast pump system is to fill the ballast tank which is in double buttom, while the sea water, taken from the seachaest. Through ballast pumps, and main pipelines and branch pipes. Ballast System is a system to be able to position the ship in a balanced state both in the front trim and rear trim, and the state of rolling. In the plan is to enter the water as a ballast bahann then the condition of the ship can return in perfect position. In System of Maintenance and repair of ballast pump which is done that is ballast pump covering operation procedure, maintenance planning and corrective action if ballast pump disruption occurs, with instruction manual break. With the maintenance and repair of the ballast pump according to the process, it is expected to reduce the risk of damage to ballast pump components, and damage to seal pumps, bearings, shafts. then results from maintenance can be done, such as keeping the ballast pump working efficiently, avoiding more severe damage, reducing the risk for ships and associated companies in the smooth running of the work.
