Abstract

Windlass or anchor machine is a system of anchor winches installed on board for the purpose of lifting and stretching anchors and anchor chains through anchor tubes. The main uses of windlass are as a connector or towing chain and anchor. Windlass has the ability to lift anchors from a depth of 30-60 meters. The purpose of this paper is to find out the windlass work system, and the hydraulic work system. The results of periodic windlass checks on MV. MADELIN FISRT are able to prevent damage in the short term, more scheduled and regular checks without waiting for damage to the windlass. Causing the windlass to operate maximally, the use of the hydraulic drive windlass system used is safer and more efficient in its use in operation. Keywords : Hydraulic, Maintenance, Windlass
