Abstract
The increasing number of land transportation service companies has intensified competition in gaining market share. This condition requires companies to implement effective marketing strategies to influence consumers' purchasing decisions. This study aimed to analyze the effects of price perception, facilities, security, comfort, and punctuality on the decision to purchase train tickets at Semarang Tawang Railway Station. This research employed a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis. Data processing and analysis were conducted using SPSS version 29. The population consisted of 189,518 train passengers, and a sample of 100 respondents was determined using the Slovin formula with a 10% margin of error through an accidental sampling technique. The results showed that price perception had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions (t = 2.708; Sig. = 0.008 < 0.05), while facilities had no significant effect (t = 0.241; Sig. = 0.810 > 0.05). Security had no significant effect (t = 1.942; Sig. = 0.055 > 0.05), while comfort had a positive and significant effect (t = 3.915; Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05) and was the most dominant variable. Meanwhile, punctuality had no significant effect (t = -0.495; Sig. = 0.622 > 0.05). Therefore, improving service comfort and establishing pricing strategies that align with consumers' perceived value should be prioritized to enhance train ticket purchasing decisions.
