Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of field effectiveness, loading and unloading equipment, and operator performance on the productivity of MV. Bistari 19 cargo handling operations at Bintang 99 Port, Batam. This research uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis to examine the relationship between independent and dependent variables.the results show that the regression equation obtained is Y = 0.7483 + 0.393X₁ + 0.380X₂ + 0.588X₃ + µ. All independent variables have a positive effect on loading and unloading productivity, indicating that improvements in field effectiveness, equipment condition, and operator performance will increase the productivity of MV. Bistari 19 cargo operations. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.360 or 36.0%, meaning that the independent variables simultaneously explain 36.0% of the variation in productivity, while the remaining 64.0% is influenced by other factors outside the model, such as weather conditions, cargo volume and type, operational time, port management systems, workforce availability, inter-agency coordination, vessel conditions, and other technical and operational factors. In conclusion, field effectiveness, loading and unloading equipment, and operator performance play an important role in improving cargo handling productivity, although other external factors also have a significant influence.
