Abstract
Life Saving Appliances or safety equipment (LSA) is a safety standard that must bemet by a ship, to ensure the safety of the crew and prevent casualties in the event of a disaster and accident on board. Sailing safety is very important in all aspects ofshipping. Aspects inherent in safety in sailing include the safety equipment on theship, the purpose of this writing is to find out the safety equipment that is on theship. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documentation and literature studies so that they can be analyzed and conclusions drawn. From the results of observations made on ships at the Sri Bintan Pura Tanjung Pinang Port,the authors convey that the ships at the Sri Bintan Pura Tanjung Pinang Port havecarried out their roles and responsibilities in accordance with applicable regulations.The author concludes that the ships at the Sri Bintan Pura Tanjung Pinang Port havecomplied with the applicable laws and regulations for transportation safety and the prevention of shipping accidents.
