Abstract
Based on the results of research conducted by Basarnas Semarang, the Search and Rescue Team stated that there are several factors that cause accidents in waters, namely weather factors, ocean/river currents, and waves. Natural factors such as floods, etc. Therefore, immediate assistance must be provided when seeing victims in water areas. The purpose of this observation is to find out the tools used when conducting rescues in water areas, to find out the techniques used when conducting rescues, to find out the procedures for carrying victims in water areas, and to find out medical treatment after the victim is taken to a safe place. The method used in collecting data is qualitative descriptive, namely by observation. Interviews and documentation. The results achieved are that Basarnas Semarang has the tools to assist in rescues that are used effectively and efficiently and are well maintained, the rescue techniques used by Basarnas Semarang when carrying out effective rescues, the methods or stages in helping victims in water areas, as well as medical assistance/first aid measures when victims are successfully lifted to the surface or land.
