Abstract
The continuity of garment production is strongly influenced by the timely receipt of imported raw materials, material quality, and inventory continuity. Disruptions in these areas may extend production waiting time and delay order completion. This study aimed to examine the effects of import document delays, raw material defects, and raw material availability on production waiting time at PT Inti Sukses Garmindo Semarang. The study employed a quantitative approach using a questionnaire measured through a five-point Likert scale. The sample consisted of 100 employees selected through nonprobability sampling with a purposive sampling method based on their involvement in import administration, procurement, warehousing, quality control, and production activities. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 31. The findings revealed that import document delays had a positive and significant effect on production waiting time, with a coefficient of 0.232, a t-value of 2.922, and a significance level of 0.004. Raw material defects also had a positive and significant effect, with a coefficient of 0.281, a t-value of 2.973, and a significance level of 0.004. Raw material availability had a positive and significant effect, with a coefficient of 0.163, a t-value of 2.401, and a significance level of 0.018. Therefore, all proposed hypotheses were accepted. The adjusted R-squared value of 0.364 indicated that the three independent variables explained 36.4% of the variation in production waiting time. This study highlights the importance of controlling import documentation, raw material quality, and inventory to improve production efficiency.
