Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of Agency Department performance (X1), Crewing Department performance (X2), and operational coordination (X3) on the smooth operation of bulk carrier vessels (Y) at PT Indobaruna Bulk Transport Jakarta. This study employed a quantitative method using primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to 101 respondents consisting of agency staff, crewing staff, and ship crews. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination analysis. The results showed the regression equation Y = 2.877 + 0.199X1 + 0.329X2 + 0.308X3. The t-test results indicated that Agency Department performance had a positive and significant effect on the smooth operation of bulk carrier vessels (t = 2.121; sig. = 0.036), Crewing Department performance had a positive and significant effect (t = 3.559; sig. < 0.001), and operational coordination also had a positive and significant effect (t = 2.985; sig. = 0.004). The F-test results showed that all three independent variables simultaneously had a significant effect on the smooth operation of bulk carrier vessels. The Adjusted R-Square value of 0.610 indicated that 61.0% of the variation in the smooth operation of bulk carrier vessels could be explained by the three research variables. The conclusion of this study indicates that improving Agency Department performance, Crewing Department performance, and effective operational coordination can enhance the smooth operation of bulk carrier vessels, with Crewing Department performance being the most dominant variable influencing operational smoothness.
