Abstract
The smoothness of rice distribution is a critical indicator of warehouse operational service efficiency. This study aims to examine the influence of loading and unloading time, loading and unloading labor, loading and unloading facilities, and loading and unloading schedule arrangements on the smoothness of rice distribution at the Nambangan Kidul Warehouse of Perum BULOG Madiun Branch Office. The research applies a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 60 respondents. The sampling technique used is saturation sampling. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 27. Based on the research results and data analysis, the following regression equation was obtained: Y = 3,281 + 0,220 X1 + 0,281 X2 + 0,180 X3 + 0,357 X4 + µ The results indicate that the variables of loading and unloading time (X₁ ), loading and unloading labor (X₂ ), loading and unloading facilities (X₃ ), and schedule arrangements (X₄ ) have a positive influence on the smoothness of rice distribution, with respective regression coefficients of 0.220, 0.281, 0.180, and 0.357. The R² test (R square) yielded a value of 0.649, suggesting that 64.9% of the variation in the smoothness of rice distribution is explained by these four variables. The t-test results show that all independent variables have a significant partial effect ($t_{count} > t_{table}$). Therefore, it can be concluded that improvements in loading and unloading time, labor services, facilities, and schedule arrangements can enhance the smoothness of rice distribution at the Nambangan Kidul Warehouse of Perum BULOG Madiun Branch Office.
