Abstract

The smooth process of filling compressed air into the air bottle (storage cylinder) is a crucial factor in various industrial and technical operations, which directly depends on the optimal performance of the air compressor. This study aims to identify potential problems and analyze effective maintenance methods on the air compressor system to ensure the efficiency and reliability of the compressed air supply. The research method involves performance analysis (pressure, temperature, flow rate), visual inspection of critical components, and the application of predictive and preventive maintenance techniques. The main components focused on include the air filtration system, valves, cooling system, and lubrication. The identification results show that common problems that often occur include: decreased efficiency due to wear of piston and liner components and a lot of dirty air entering causing the high press valve to collect a lot of air dirt, damage to the inlet/exhaust valve, and oil contamination due to improper replacement intervals. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the implementation of a proactive and periodic compressor maintenance program is very important to ensure smooth operation, energy efficiency, and safety in the air bottle filling process.
