Abstract
This study aims to analyze the impact of the use of the PELNI Mobile application on the performance of the passenger boarding process at PT PELNI Semarang Branch. The independent variables in this study include ease of use of the application, accuracy of information, and utilization of digital features, while the dependent variable is the boarding process performance. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method through questionnaires distributed to ship passengers who use the PELNI Mobile application. The population in this study consisted of passengers of PT PELNI Semarang Branch, totaling approximately 20,000 passengers during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 period. The sample size was determined using the Slovin formula with a 10% error rate, resulting in 100 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis methods included descriptive analysis, validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption testing, and multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS software. The results of this study indicate that ease of application use, accuracy of information, and utilization of digital features have a positive and significant effect on the performance of the passenger boarding process at PT PELNI Semarang Branch. This finding shows that the use of the PELNI Mobile application can improve efficiency, punctuality, and smoothness of the boarding process. Therefore, management is expected to continuously improve the quality of the application and maximize the utilization of digital features to support more effective and efficient boarding services.
