Abstract
The Port of Tanjung Emas in Semarang serves as an important gateway for trade in Central Java, especially for commodities such as logs. In this paper, we observe the procedure for loading and unloading logs at the port, at PT. Ark of Setia Raya at TK Bina Samudera 38. This observation aims to determine standard operating procedures, the impact of technology on efficiency and safety, identification of obstacles faced during the process, and the equipment used. The method used is a qualitative method by conducting observations, documentation, and interviews with port officers and PBM staff. The results of these observations reveal the important role of technology in the loading and unloading of logs, the importance of overcoming obstacles related to weather conditions and labor coordination, and the need for continuous improvement to ensure safe and efficient handling of logs at Tanjung Emas Port.
