Abstract
A generator is a machine that can convert motion (mechanical) energy into electrical energy (electricity). The energy that drives the generator itself comes from various sources. Meanwhile, in power generation, the motion from the generator is obtained from the process of burning diesel fuel, for example motorbike users, so that it is more economical, more efficient and stable. Research can be identified by focusing on other related cases. So problems with generator operation result in damage to the generator AVR and generator contactor. For both components, maintenance is very important to avoid damage. The results of periodic maintenance on KN.KUMBA show that maintenance can handle damage to both components. In collecting research data methods (interviews), and documentation methods. The result of writing this paper is to know how to carry out maintenance, repair damage, and replace components on the AVR generator and MCB contactor on the generator.
