Abstract
The anchor engine is an anchor winch installed on the ship for the purpose of lifting and lowering the anchor and anchor chain through the anchor tube (haws pipe). medium. This paper discusses the operation and maintenance of electric anchors so that they can work optimally and what are the consequences that can occur if maintenance is not carried out properly. The method used by the author in conducting research is by using the observation or direct observation method on the KM Wahyu Pandanaran ship, conducting interviews with the crew of the KM Wahyu Pandanaran ship, and library research using several related reading sources. In order to obtain research results which show that it is necessary to carry out maintenance on the electric anchor machine so that the electric anchor machine continues to run as it should.
