Abstract
The main topic of discussion in writing this paper is about bulk carrier services at the Surabaya diamond cape. There are several background problems that the author must solve, namely regarding ship agency services, regarding the clearence in and out process, documents needed, related parties, obstacles experienced and solutions to overcome obstacles in the process of ship service activities and the results of solving the problem solution. The purpose of writing this paper is to find out an in- depth description of the role of PT.Samudera Makmur Agensi, especially in the field of ship agency services, which deals with bulk carrier services at The Surabaya. For the data used by the author using primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through direct interviews with field operations and branch heads. While secondary data obtained through books, archives, and other sources. The data collection method used is observation which sees directly the activities at the port. The resultsof the discussion of this paper is that it can be concluded that the company is engaged in shipping agency services where this company helps provide ship services during loading or unloading activities at the port terminal.
