Abstract
The National Search and Rescue Agency (BASARNAS) is a non-ministerial government agency responsible for the search and rescue of victims of accidents and natural disasters, under the auspices of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (POLRI) in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB). It is important for BASARNAS in terms of Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) maintenance. This is done so that the RIB is always ready to be used without any problems. The purpose of writing is to find out how to maintain and minimize damage that often occurs to RIB and its operation at KN. SAR 255 Widura. The data collection method used by the author is observation of RIB at KN. SAR 255 Widura, interviews with several related sources, literature and documentation of matters relating to RIB. The type of data used is qualitative data. This observation discusses the maintenance and minimizing damage to RIB on KN. SAR 255 Widura. The results obtained are maintenance. In daily maintenance of RIB on the ship KN. SAR 255 Widura only checks the condition of the body and engine conditions are carried out. RIB is covered using a tarpaulin to avoid sunlight. Repairs can be made according to the damage that occurs. The conclusion obtained is To minimize damage to RIB there are two maintenance methods, namely before use after use. RIB maintenance by checking the condition of the engine and repairing damaged parts and changing the oil regularly.
