Abstract
The operational performance of PT. Bintang Samudera Mandiri Lines Tbk. has a very important role in supporting the smooth distribution of goods and services between regions, especially in the context of international trade. One of the problems that companies often face is efficient fleet management. Therefore, proper ship maintenance management, increasing the efficiency of shipping routes, and the use of technology in fleet supervision and management are very important to ensure smooth operations. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence company performance. The population in this study were employees of PT. Bintang Samudera Mandiri Lines Tbk. Jakarta with a research sample of 70 respondents. The sampling technique used was non probability sampling with the sampling type, namely Census/total sample. The analysis method used was descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, the data was analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of (Software) Statistic Package For Social Science (SPSS). The results of this study indicate that the variables of the loading and unloading process, the warehousing management process and work safety have a partial effect on the company's operational performance. The results of multiple regression analysis obtained the equation Y = - 1.161 + 0.420X1 + 0.364X2 + 0.260X3 + µ where all the variables studied showed a positive and significant effect on the company's operational performance. From the regression equation it can also be seen that the most dominant variable influencing the company's operational performance is the warehousing management process variable with a regression coefficient of 0.420. And the coefficient of determination value (Adjusted R Square = 0.866) is 87.2%. The coefficient of determination value is 87.2% while the rest (100% - 87.2% = 12.8%) is influenced by other variables outside the research or the regression equation capital.
