Abstract
Vehicle inspection plays a crucial role in ensuring road safety and the roadworthiness of vehicles. This study aims to determine the age and deterioration of infrastructure facilities (X₁),the age and condition of vehicle condition (X₂), and driver negligence (X₃) the failure to pass periodic vehicle inspections (Y) at the Transportation Agency of Bandung City. The population in this study consists of drivers undergoing vehicle inspection, with a total sample of 83 respondents. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with a saturation sampling method. Data collected were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 27. The regression equation obtained is: Y = 0.862 + 0.257X₁ + 0.588X₂ + 0.195X₃ + µ The results indicate that the age and deterioration of infrastructure facilities (X₁), the age and condition of vehicle condition (X₂), and driver negligence (X₃) have a significant influence on the failure of periodic vehicle inspections. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.664, indicating that 66.4% of the variation in inspection failure is influenced by the three independent variables. The t-test results show that all independent variables have t-values greater than the t-table, confirming a positive and significant effect on inspection failure. These findings highlight the need to improve inspection facilities, the age and condition of vehicle condition, and driver negligence to reduce the failure to pass periodic vehicle inspections Keywords: the age and deterioration of infrastructure facilities,the age and condition of vehicle condition, and driver negligence, the failure to pass periodic vehicle inspections
