Abstract
The maintenance and repair system is one of the needs that must be met and must be present in a ship. activities carried out to prevent damage. Things that are taken into account at the maintenance and repair stage are inspection, oiling, repair, and replacement of parts. The background to the problem of writing the paper is the maintenance and repair system of ballast pumps on PT Siginjai ferry. The purpose of this paper is to know the handling process if there is trouble in the ballast pump. In the process of collecting data to indicate the content of the written work, the author uses several methods reviewed from the author's source using the methods of interview, observation and document study. Conclusion of this written work the author gained knowledge and insights related to handling ballast pumps on Ferry PT ships. Siginjai. The result of this paper is to find out how the system of maintenance and repair of ballast pumps is operated and worked on the Ferry vessel of PT. Siginjai, what is the function of maintenance and repair system of ballast pumps in Ferry vessels of PT.
