Abstract
Planned maintenance is a crucial strategy in ensuring the performance and reliability of ship components, particularly the Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP). The CPP plays a vital role in optimizing the vessel's propulsion efficiency by adjusting the blade pitch. This study aims to analyze the implementation of planned maintenance on the CPP of KM. Catellya Express conducted at Docking PT. Jenata Marina Indah and evaluate its impact on extending component service life and improving operational reliability. The research methodology includes analyzing historical maintenance data, inspecting component conditions, and applying maintenance procedures based on international standards. The findings indicate that the implementation of planned maintenance reduces component damage rates by up to 30% and extends the average service life of components by 25%. Additionally, it contributes to lower operational costs from unexpected failures and enhances vessel operational efficiency. These findings emphasize the importance of planned maintenance strategies in supporting the sustainability of ship operations, particularly in the maritime industry. Consistent and data-driven implementation of CPP maintenance can serve as a reference for shipping companies to improve fleet efficiency and reliability. Keywords: planned maintenance, controllable pitch propeller, service life, docking, operational reliability.
