Abstract
Indonesia is an archipelagic country with two thirds of its territory is waters known as a maritime country, therefore sea transportation facilities are very necessary to connect between islands in Indonesia. One of the sea transportation is ships, both passenger ships and cargo ships, shipping companies play an important role in the operation of ships, namely in managing port entry permits or what is called clearance in and port exit permits or called clearance out. The purpose of the observations made by the author is to know the procedures for clearance in and clearance out in the operation of ships belonging to PT.Div Samudra Abadi. The theoretical basis used by the author in writing this final project is in the form of books, laws, ministerial regulations, internet and field activities. This observation took the location, namely PT.Div Samudera Abadi Ocean Division, Riau Islands. Sources of data obtained by the author of events or activities, documents and archives. The results obtained from the observations made by the author are the management of clearance in and clearance out in the operations of PT. Div Samudera Abadi in the Batam area, Riau Islands. Broadly speaking, the clearance in and clearance out procedures start from notification of the planned arrival of the ship, determination of the berth (pier), payment of port fees, preparation of ships arriving (monitoring the dock, preparing requests for ship needs, preparation of rope officers, ladder pushers, KPLP and reporting to the captain). that the preparation for anchoring the ship is ready), when the ship docks (debarkation and fulfillment of ship needs) and clearance out (checking documents on board, submitting documents and processing Sailing Approval Letter) to the relevant agencies Keywords: Procedure, Clearance in, Clearance out, Vessel operations.
