Abstract

This manufacturing industry is engaged in the manufacture of automotive glass and the largest sheet glass in Indonesia. Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) is one method of identifying potential hazards in each type of work. The purpose of this study was to determine hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control using the HIRARC method in the Glass Manufacturing Industry. The study was conducted on all aspects of each material receiving operation to feeding that have the potential to cause accidents and occupational health. Data collection techniques include field observation, interviews, and documentation. Descriptive data analysis using the HIRARC model with Job Safety Analysis (JSA). The results of the study show that 12 activities in the raw material department have 126 activities, in HIRARC-based JSA risk control After the HIRARC method risk control for the very high risk category decreased from 17% to 0%, After the HIRARC method risk control for the high risk category decreased from 24% to 0%. After the risk control method HIRARC for the medium risk category decreased from 54% to 15%, After the risk control method HIRARC for the low risk category increased from 5% to 85%, Risk control for the low risk category showed an increase in the percentage of signs of success of risk control, in this case there was an increase in the low risk category by 80%.
