Abstract
One of Indonesia's natural wealth which is the mainstay of the country's foreign exchange is natural gas and oil. In connection with this, especially the oil and gas reserves contained therein, it is appropriate that this archipelagic country requires adequate and smooth shipping facilities at sea in an effort to manage and explore the potential and natural wealth. Offshore activity is a special activity that has a high level of difficulty and is very risky. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS version 22 application. The results of the t-test hypothesis testing showed that the ship's crew safety equipment, manning, ship condition and SBNP had a positive and partially significant effect on shipping safety. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the research model of the multiple linear regression equation resulted in the following equation: Y = -1.566 + 0.306 X1 + 0.250 X2 + 0.271 X3 + 0.288 X4 + µ From the results of the equation, it shows that the Vessel Condition variable (X1) has t count (3.330) > t table (1.99045), Manning variable (X2) has t count (2.038) > t table (1.99045), Equipment variable (X3 ) has t count (2.772) > t table (1.99045), the Weather variable (X4) has t count (3.621) > t table (1.99045). Thus the results of the study indicate that the safety equipment of the ship's crew, manning, ship conditions and navigational aids have a positive and significant effect on shipping safety. Keywords: Vessel Condition, Manning, Equipment, Weather
