Abstract

The Joglosemarkerto train is a mixed class passenger train service operated by Indonesian Railways to serve the Central Java ring route and Yogyakarta and Cilcap - Yogyakarta on the southern route of Java Island. The name of this train comes from the names of the cities that this train passes through, namely the cities of Yogyakarta , Surakarta , Semarang, and Purwokerto. This research aims to see the partial influence of facilities, service quality and security on the smoothness of train travel. The population in this study were 100 Joglosemarkerto Train passengers in Operational Area V Purwokerto in Jully 2024. The sampling technique is nonprobability sampling, the type of sampling is quota sampling. The analysis technique in this research uses multiple linear regression analysis. The regression formulation in this research is as follows: Y = -1,027 + 0,316X1 + 0,301X2 + 0,360X3 + µ The constant of -1.027 means that if the independent variables (facilities, service quality, safety) are considered constant, then the smooth train travel variable will decrease by 1.027. The regression coefficient for the facility variable (X1) has a value of 0.316, meaning that if the value of other independent variables remains the same while the facility is increased by one unit, then the smoothness of train travel variable (Y) will increase by 0.321. The regression coefficient for the service quality variable (X2) has a value of 0.301, meaning that if the value of the other independent variables remains the same while the service quality is increased by one unit, then the smooth train travel variable (Y) will increase by 0.301. The regression coefficient for the safety variable (X3) has a value of 0.360, meaning that if the value of other independent variables remains the same while security is increased by one unit, then the smooth train travel variable (Y) will increase by 0.360. That the coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square) is 0.594. This means that the variables Facilities (X1), Service Quality (X2), and Security (X3) have a contribution of 59.4% in influencing the smoothness of train travel (Y). Meanwhile, other factors that influence passenger decisions (100% - 59.4%) = 40.6% are explained by other factors outside this research model Keywords = Facilities, Service Quality, Security, Smooth Train Travel
