Abstract
Trans Jateng is an integrated bus system operated under the Transportation Agency of Central Java Province, covering the Central Java region and operating according to urban agglomeration. The plan for the first route operation of Trans Jateng had long been planned by the Central Java Provincial Transportation Agency. This plan was realized by constructing bus stop infrastructure along the Pudak Payung–Bawen route around 2013 to 2014. Trans Jateng has become the primary choice for the community because the fare is relatively affordable and can reach various areas in Semarang and Central Java. With an affordable price, Trans Jateng provides an economical mobility solution for everyone, especially for those who need regular transportation for work or school. Additionally, the easy and integrated payment system further enhances user convenience in using this service. This study aims to analyze the influence of independent variables (service quality, fare, and physical facilities) on the dependent variable (passenger interest). The population consists of all Trans Jateng passengers. For the Semarang-Bawen route, a sample of 100 respondents was taken using a non-probability sampling technique, specifically quota sampling. Data collection was done using questionnaires, and the data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis, including validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis testing. Based on the analysis, the following regression equation was obtained: Y = 0.637 + 0.115X1 + 0.585X2 + 0.256X3 + µ. Hypothesis testing using the t-test shows that the three independent variables—service quality (X1), fare (X2), and physical facilities (X3)—have a positive and significant influence on the dependent variable, which is passenger interest. The coefficient of determination (R2) test above shows that the Adjusted R Square is 0.749, meaning that 74.9% of the variation in Passenger Interest is explained by the independent variables, namely Service Quality, Fare, and Physical Facilities. The remaining 25.1% (100% - 74.9%) is explained by other factors outside the model. Keywords: Service Quality, Fare, Physical Facilities, and Passenger Interest.
