Abstract
Based on accident data from the Semarang City Police on the Brigjend Sudiarto Road section, it is one of the accident-prone locations in Semarang City. Traffic accidents that occur are caused by many factors, namely Road Geometry, Road Equipment and Road Section Performance so that they have the potential to endanger road users. The purpose of this study is to find out the existing condition of the road section, whether the road section has met safe road standards, to find out the risk value of the Hazard identification results and to know the appropriate handling to improve safe roads on the Brigadier General Sudiarto Road Section in Semarang City. The data analysis used in this study is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis using Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) Analysis. The HIRARC analysis with (Mulyono et al., 2009) is a risk categorization based on the opportunity value of road infrastructure safety deficiency on the potential for accidents and the impact value of the severity of accident victims based on the fatality rate. Based on the results of the analysis using the HIRARC method (Mulyono et al., 2009), it is known that at the research location there are 16 hazard findings contained in 3 research variables which are stated with risk values, the results are obtained that the Risk Value in the independent variables (Road Geometry, Road Equipment and Road Section Performance) which has a value range of 125-250 shows that these variables affect road safety with the category of risk quite dangerous (CB).
