Abstract

ABSTRACT Driving safety is a problem that always gets serious attention in every country. Besides that, driving safety is something that every road user always wants, imagine that almost every day our time runs out just to move from one place to another, therefore an understanding of driving safety is a must-have for all road users. This is an effort made to reduce the number of traffic accidents and the impact of traffic accidents. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the independent variables, namely driving knowledge, driving attitude, perception of accident risk and driving skills on the dependent variable, namely driving safety. In this study, the object taken was the surrounding community on the R.E Martadinata road, Tasikmalaya City. The sample of this research is 100 respondents with the technique used is non-probability sampling technique, namely by using incidental sampling, which is a sampling technique by chance or anyone who coincidentally meets with the researcher can be used as a sample. The research model is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the research and multiple linear analysis, the following equation is obtained: Y = 3.524 +0.089X1+0.370X2 + 0.291X3 The results of the multiple linear regression equation show that there is no positive and significant effect between Driving Knowledge and Safety Riding (tcount 1.499 <ttable 1.98472) while driving attitude has a positive effect on Safety Riding (tcount 3.8999 > ttable 1.98472) , and Perceptions of Risk to Safety Riding (tcount 3,899 > ttable 0.000). The effect of the three research variables is obtained with the correlation value Adjusted R2 = 0.137. Simultaneously Driving Knowledge, Driving Attitude, and Risk Perception have an effect of 42.6% on Safety Riding and 56.4% are influenced by research variables that are not detected in this study. Keywords: Driving Knowledge, Driving Attitude, Risk Perception, Safety Riding
