Abstract

Bagong Bus public transportation is transportation that was created to make it easier for people to move places at affordable prices. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of public interest on the choice of public transportation modes in the city of Blitar (study on Bagong buses). This research uses quantitative research methods using a sample of 100 respondents who use Bagong bus services in the city of Blitar. Data collection was carried out using observation methods, literature studies, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The data analysis technique is a multiple linear regression technique which is first tested through a questionnaire test (validity and reliability) and classical assumption tests (autocorrelation, heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity, normality). The results of the analysis using the statistical tools of the SPSS V.26 program obtained a multiple linear regression equation: Y = -1.735 + 0.335.X1 + 0.291.X2 + 0.256.X3 + 0.247 + µ From the multiple linear regression equation, it can be seen that the most dominant variable influencing public interest in Bagong bus public transportation is the price perception variable with a regression coefficient of 0.335. With the coefficient of determination (Adjust R square), the results obtained were 61.9%, which means that perceptions of fares, facilities and infrastructure, timeliness and service quality influence public interest in Bagong bus public transportation by 61.9% and other factors that influence Public interest in using Bagong bus public transportation is 38.9%. Thus, the research results show that perceptions of fares, facilities and infrastructure, punctuality and service quality have a positive and significant effect on influencing people's interest in using Bagong bus public transportation.
