Abstract
Hanif, Abdan, “Analysis of Mooring Delays for Very Large Crude Carrier Ships Using Fishbone and SWOT Method Approaches at Single Bouy Mooring Pertamina Refinery Unit IV Cilacap”. Undergraduate Program Marine Transportation Engineering Study Program. The mooring process in the Pertamina RU IV Cilacap Single Buoy Mooring terminal area often causes delays in ship mooring due to several inhibiting factors during the mooring process. The delay in mooring of the ship will result in demurrage so the author is interested in conducting research analyzing the factors that cause the mooring process to be not optimal using a combination of two methods, namely fishbone analysis as problem mapping and the Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat (SWOT) method as a problem solving strategy. The use of the fishbone analysis method to map delay factors divided into 6 parts: machine, method, material, human, environment and measurement. After dividing it into 6 parts, it is differentiated based on internal factors or external factors using IFAS and EFAS, then using the Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat (SWOT) method to combine these results to obtain the right strategy to overcome delays in mooring of VLCC ships at Pertamina RU IV Cilacap. The results of research using the Fishbone analysis method can be concluded that the factors causing delays in the mooring of the Very Large Crude Carrier ship at Pertamina RU IV Cilacap are damage to kepil/mooring boat engines, damage to tug boat engines, disruption of communications due to limited radio coverage, Poor time management carried out by the kepil / mooring boat crew, The mooring hawser facility was damaged because it was no longer suitable for use and had to wait a long time for procurement, Mooring Master's lack of experience in the ship piloting process at Single Bouy Mooring Pertamina Refinery Unit IV Cilacap, Determining the anchoring position too far from the Single Buoy Mooring will result in a long mooring operation maneuvering process, The results of determining the appropriate strategy to overcome delays in the mooring of Very Large Crude Carrier vessels at SBM Pertamina Refinery Unit IV I Cilacap based on the SWOT analysis approach found the WT (Weakness Threat) strategy, namely efforts to overcome delays that can be done by avoiding, reducing and dealing with factors- factors that can become weaknesses and threats as early as possible.
