Abstract
Side obstacles are the impact on traffic congestion from activities next to a road segment. One factor in reducing road capacity and performance is due to trading activities and illegal parking. In connection with the growth of vehicles and traffic congestion, the increase in population can directly trigger an increase in the need for the use of means of transportation such as cars, motorbikes, scooters and others. This can directly cause congestion. And the intersection of traffic jams at this intersection is predominantly influenced by the number of motorized vehicles such as cars and motorbikes operating at the intersection. This research was carried out with the aim of analyzing three variables, namely side obstacles, vehicle growth and intersections as independent variables that influence the dependent variable, namely traffic congestion. In this study, the respondents taken were all motorbike users on Jalan Bungurasih Surabaya and the data analysis used in This research is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS version 25, based on the results of the analysis with SPSS version 25 statistical tools, the research multiple regression model equation is obtained: Y = 1.290 + 0.262X1 + 0.289X2 + 0.280X3 + µ The results of the multiple linear regression equation show that there is a positive and partially significant influence between side obstacle factors on traffic congestion t = 0.878 > t table = 0.2343, vehicle growth on traffic congestion t = 0.841 > t table = 0 .2343, intersections against traffic jams t count = 0.870 > t table = 0.2343. The influence of the research variables is very strong as proven by testing the coefficient of determination (R2 test) with an Adjusted R Square value = 0.556.
