Abstract
When a ship docks at a port, the ship requires service and has various needs that must be met. And to meet the various needs of these ships, shipping companies that do not have branches at a port will appoint other shipping companies at that port as agents. The aim of this research is to find out what the initial process of collecting data on foreign ship arrivals is in the SSM or ISW system at PT. Bahari Laju Anugerah Banten branch, to be able to find out what agencies are in the INSW or SSM transport system at PT. Bahari Laju Anugerah Banten branch, to be able to know and understand how the ship out or departure process is done through the system. The data used by the author uses Qualitative Data because in carrying out observations he interacted directly with Mr. Rifky Gazna Saputra as Head of Operational Staff at PT. Bahari Laju Anugerah Merak Branch through questions and observations when employees worked in carrying out the overseas ship agency service process. and domestically using the Single Sub-Mission System. Based on the research results, the operation of the Carrier Single Submission System (SSm) really helps the implementation of Clearance in and Clearance out services because apart from being very easy to operate, it also saves time and energy. The convenience obtained by the agency company PT. Bahari Laju Anugerah can provide the best service and is able to utilize performance time in the field and systems so that the ship and system performance processes run well because it is supported by advances in the Single Submission System (SSM) for carriers which are getting better and better every year, and more than that, the carrier SSM is a combined agency system that makes it easier for companies to process the initial arrival of foreign ships until the departure of foreign ships and combined agencies make it easier for the process of sending ship data.
