Abstract
As the population in Wates District, Kediri Regency grows, the demand for transportation in the area will also increase, especially for motorcycles, given that motorcyclists are the most frequent vehicle users on the road. This study aims to analyze the knowledge, persuasive communication by the police, and safety riding on the safety of motorcyclists on Wates-Kediri Highway. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis with a population of 760,599 and a sample size of 100 respondents. The calculations were assisted using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) version 26. (Y = a + b1X1 + b2X2 + b3X3 + µ) with descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis methods. Data collection techniques included observation, literature review, interview methods, questionnaire methods, and documentary methods. The results of this study indicate that the variables of Knowledge, Persuasive Communication by the Police, and Safety Riding have a partial effect on Motorcyclist Safety. The equation is: Y = 3.258 + 0.237 X1 + 0.234 X2 + 0.244 X3 + µ. From the results of the multiple linear regression equation, it can be seen that the regression coefficient value of knowledge (X1) is 0.237 with a positive sign and a t-value of 2.495, t-table 1.98472. The regression coefficient value of Persuasive Communication by the Police (X2) is 0.234 with a positive sign and a t-value of 2.390, t-table 1.98472. The regression coefficient value of Safety Riding (X3) is 0.244 with a positive sign and a t-value of 2.604, t-table 1.98472. The adjusted R Square coefficient value indicates that Knowledge, Persuasive Communication by the Police, and Safety Riding have an effect of 40.4%. This means that other factors not studied or µ in this research account for 59.6%. Keywords: Knowledge, Persuasive Communication by the Police, Safety Riding, Motorcycle Rider Safety
