Abstract

Port is an important facility, especially for sea transportation, with this transportation, the required mileage will feel faster, especially for the economic development of an area where the center of consumer goods production can be marketed quickly and smoothly. In addition, in the economic sector, ports have a positive impact on the development of an isolated area, especially water areas where accessibility by land is difficult to do well. Patimban Port has a Patrol Ship whose duty is to secure the Patimban Shipping lanes, named the KN.P. 5240 Ship. This ship aims to carry out Security and Supervision in the Bandar Pool Area of Patimban Port, Conduct Joint Security with PAM OBVIT, and Checking Ship Documents at Patimban Port and Sterilize the City Pool Area from nets and Fishing Boats. The purpose of this study is to determine the potential hazards in the patimban shipping lanes, the duties and functions and roles of KN.P. 5240 in the patimban shipping lanes, and how the process of activities of the ship KN.P. 5240 in the Patimban Shipping Lanes. The method used by the author is interviews, observations in the field and data collection both by observation, inteview and library research that the author collects can be taken accurate discussion. The result of this study is It is important for relevant parties, such as port authorities, shipping parties, and other relevant agencies, to actively identify, monitor, and address these potential hazards through strict regulation, crew training, infrastructure maintenance, as well as effective risk management systems, it is necessary to conduct regular and intensive patrols and supervision along the Patimban Shipping Lanes.
