Abstract
PT. Samudera Makmur Agensi Cilacap Branch is one of the shipping agents that handles ships entering and exiting the port of Cilacap, operational staff and related parties play an important role in the smooth service process at PLTU Cilacap, from ships arriving to ships unloading or loading and shipping leaving the port. In this paper, the intention is to understand the ship service process at the PLTU Cilacap port, to find out the parties involved in the service process at the PLTU Cialacap port. As well as obstacles in the service process at PLTU Cilacap. This paper uses qualitative research methods using several aspects, such as direct observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The results of this research show that the ship service process requires related parties, such as Pelindo, KSOP, KKP, and PBM. There are several obstacles in the service process, such as land cranes not operating, weather factors that have a big influence on the docking process, sea tide factors, the maintenance factor of the inapornet system which is having errors, and finally human resources. Efforts that can be made to resolve obstacles are by carrying out maintenance and maintenance of ship cranes which play an important role in the coal unloading process and preparing spare parts or supporting tools, repairing and developing existing systems and facilities, and finally conducting job training for employees and operational staff to improve their work skills.
