Abstract
Clearance in and Clearance Out Process at PT. Taraka Transmaritim Agency which aims to serve the needs of ships and crew while in the port area. PT. Taraka Transmaritim Agency deals in all types of ships, such as Container vessels, Motor Tankers, Tug Boats and Barges, Bulk Carriers. The important role of operational agents is very influential in the smooth running of a ship when berthing, loading/unloading and sailing. Preparing notifications and arranging permits for arrival and departure are the main tasks of the agency before the ship arrives and before the ship departs, known as Clearance in and Clearance out. Good relationships between company management, agents, principals and related agencies must be established for the smooth running of operational agents in the field in carrying out their duties. The ship clearance in and clearance process must be supported by a letter of notification of the arrival and departure of the ship, ship seaworthiness documents to facilitate entry and exit of the ship to the Gresik Harbormaster and Port Authority (KSOP) Office. Agency services are an important role in the smooth running of ship activities at the port. The data used in this research is primary data obtained through field observations and direct interviews with PT operational agents. Taraka Transmaritim Agency during the author's land practice and secondary data obtained from books in the library and other reading sources relating to the subject matter taken.
