Abstract
In port services, in every loading and unloading activity, of course every port service user carries out activities regulated in accordance with basic standards as a reference for the performance of their respective companies. Therefore, in every activity special attention is required. Starting from the facilities provided to services that can help an activity run well without obstacles. Therefore, every company has fixed service indicators as a benchmark for a company. One of them is in handling operational services for coal loading and unloading activities at PT. Manalagi Cruise. Observations in writing this paper are about bulk carrier operational services. Observations in writing this paper are about bulk carrier operational services. There are several background problems that the author must resolve, namely regarding ship operational services, the process of loading and unloading coal and the obstacles experienced when loading and unloading coal. The purpose of writing this paper is none other than to find out an in-depth picture of the role of PT. Manalagi Voyage, for the data used the author used primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through direct interviews with field operations and company heads. Meanwhile, secondary data is obtained through books, archives and other sources. The data collection method used is observation which involves directly observing activities at the port. The results of the discussion of this paper can be concluded that the company is engaged in the ship unit business where this company helps provide transport services for monitoring ships during loading or unloading activities and the process of appointing agents at loading and unloading ports. The results of the observations made by the author are that operational services for coal are in accordance with the port service indicators provided by PT. Manalagi Cruise. Where the results of these observations are in accordance with the problems that the author found, such as ship services, bulk ship operations, coal loading and unloading processes and the emergence of obstacles during these activities. However, it is necessary to check the loading and unloading equipment periodically either before the operation plan meeting or before the activity to avoid problems due to delays in unloading activities.
