Abstract
Pumps are machines or mechanical equipment used to raise fluids from the lowlands to the highlands or to drain liquids from low pressure areas in high pressure areas and also as a flow rate amplifier on a piping network system. This is achieved by making a low pressure on the inlet or suction side and high pressure on the discharge or discharge side of the pump. In principle, the pump converts the mechanical energy of the motor into energy flow. The energy received by the fluid will be used to increase the pressure and overcome the resistances found on the channel being passed. Pumps can also be used in processes that require large hydraulic pressure. This can be found, among others, in heavy equipment. In operation, heavy equipment machines require large pressure and low suction pressure. Due to the low pressure on the suction side of the pump, the fluid will rise from a certain depth, whereas due to high pressure on the discharge side it will force the fluid to rise to the desired height. Pump Care is an action that is carried out with the aim of extending the life span, ensuring optimum availability of equipment, ensuring oprasiaonal readiness, and ensuring the safety of the person carrying out the task care.
