Abstract

. Indonesia, which consists of thousands of islands, reaching 13,446 islands, is known as a maritime country because the ocean area is larger than the mainland, about 2/3 of the total area of Indonesia. The vast area of the ocean makes Indonesian waters can be called the arteries of the world because they are used as naval routes, maritime activities, and most importantly seaborne trade (Halida, 2014). That is by understanding the importance of human error, procedural error, ism code and shipworthiness. . In this study as many as 100 respondents. The sampling technique used is non probability sampling with the type of sampling that is saturated sampling. The method of analysis in this study is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, then the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of (software) the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The results of the hypothesis test show that the The role of the Harbormaster, Communication Skills, ISM Code and Shipworthiness variables have a positive and partially significant effect on Ship Accidents at the Ketapang-Gilimanuk ferry port in Banyuwangi. The results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained Y = 1.352 + 0.291X1 + 0.256X2 + 0.247X3+0.335X4 +µ. From the equation, it is known that the dominant variable affecting the ship accident is the ship's seaworthiness variable with a regression coefficient of 0.335. The R2 (R square) test obtained results of 0.635 (63.5%) which means that the Ship Accident at the Ketapang-Gilimanuk Banyuwangi ferry port is influenced by the variables The role of the Harbormaster, Communication Skills, ISM Code and Shipworthiness of 61.9% and other factors which affects Ship Accidents, which is 38.1% Keywords: The role of the Harbormaster, Communication Skills, ISM Code, Shipworthiness And Ship Accident.
