Abstract
Tanjung Emas Port, managed by PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III since 1985. This port is the only port in Semarang City. In Operations at the Port of Semarang There is a National Search and Rescue Agency, There are so many types of accidents caused by fire, a big fire is caused by a small spark. The initial action of the fire fighting method on board must be carried out quickly and appropriately, because delays can result in fatal failure. So as the National Search and Rescue Agency Crew, fire fighting training was carried out. The purpose of this study is to determine the knowledge and skills, constraints, and ef orts possessed and carried out by the crew of the ship (ABK) in the procedure for using fire extinguishers at KN SAR SADEWA 231. This study uses data collection methods in the form of observation, interviews and literature study. The result of this study is the lack of supervision from officers regarding the knowledge and skills of procedures for using fire extinguishers on ABK KN SAR SADEWA 231. So that the provision of motivation and socialization is carried out in order to create an atmosphere of discipline. In addition, there are obstacles that are the cause of the implementation of knowledge and skills training activities regarding fire equipment including delays, negligence and incompleteness of fire equipment.
